Summer 2026 - Hot Pads

For students aged 10 and up!

Come learn the skills to crochet and walk away with a completed project! This class will be provided in my home in small groups with peer-to-peer instruction from me. Students will be provided a kit with everything they'll need to start their first project. They will be taught how to properly hold a hook, have consistent tension, create a foundational chain, common techniques like single crochet, half-double crochet, double crochet, increasing stitches, decreasing stitches, how to read and follow a pattern, change colors, and some other tips and tricks I've learned along the way. Practicing at home will be key to the success of each student. After learning the basics, students will work on a project that they will get to keep and take home.

• Beginner Class - $100 for 10 classes (1 hr.)

• Week 3 - review, single crochet

• Week 4 - review, half double crochet, double crochet
  • ​Homework: half double crochet 4” x 4” square, double crochet 4” x 4” square
• Week 5 -  review, increase, decrease
  • Homework: repeat last week
