My craft during General Conference was to create a wig for Baby E's Halloween costume. We are going to be the Mystery Gang from Scooby Doo. Since my baby girl doesn't have red hair, let alone any hair at all, I made her a wig out of yarn. I made the cap first then attached strands to be the length and thickness I wanted. Finally, the wig was topped off with a crocheted, purple headband. Happy Halloween!

One of my goals was to make my Mom a Halloween quilt. Two years ago, I took her to the fabric store to pick out what she wanted and I've been slowly working on it ever since. It was a lot of squares and rectangles to cut out and make into bigger rectangles. That part took the longest. With my sister-in-law, Kendra's, help, we laid out all of the completed pieces to get the prettiest pattern and I sewed them into a big middle section. I didn't touch it again until July of this year as it was time to put on the sides, top, and bottom pieces. I opted for having a professional do a beautiful spider web stitch with their long-arm machine all over the quilt and it turned out amazing. Thanks Two Crazy Stitches! Then once that was returned to me, Kendra took it home to bind it. All the work and time spent on this love project was worth the look of surprise on my Mom's face. She didn't know I'd been working on it, let alone that she would get it when she did. Now her apartment will be complete with this perfectly spooky quilt made just for her. It measures 54" x 72" and should keep her pretty warm for the haunted season!
